Frame by frame: dress in the wind
Yesterday was full of styling images for the #jordanbrittleyrebrand! I spent over 4 hours photographing images and it was so fun. It's not everyday that peonies, garden roses, and ranunculus blooms come to live in your house. I will be sharing my new logo with you next week on the blog! I can't hardly believe that it's almost time to share everything with you all and my heart is so full. Kathryn meticulously pieced together elements that truly speak to the heart of my business and I can't wait to show you every single thing.
If you're a bride, I have a free guide just for you that will tell you how to get photos that look like the real you! If you're a photographer, I have a free, in-depth guide called, "Dream clients that dream of you"! When you come to my website, I want you to feel hugged and encouraged. Little by little, we will be rolling out the new brand with a full launch at the end of the month. If you want to be the first to see my new logo, sign up for my email newsletter here!
Now let's talk about this image! I took this at Mariah and Haden's wedding, which will be on the blog this week. They had just shared their first look and it was around 4:00 pm. The light was still pretty harsh, so the trees provided the shade I needed for those soft, romantic images!
I asked Mariah to reach down, touch her dress, and move it just a little. I love that you can see the layers of tulle and the greens in this photograph - one of my favorite things about film! There was a little bit of a breeze, which you can see on the bottom left side of the photo (the dress is blowing in and toward Mariah).
This was shot with the Contax 645, Portra 800 rated at 200, at 1/250 and f/2.0.
You and me both! Pin this image so you can come back to it anytime.
