KC Grand Hall Wedding Inspiration

Kansas City, Missouri Wedding Inspiration

The Grand Hall KC

I walked through the ballroom and upstairs, chatting away with Madi. I think I hugged Madi and Amy a good 3-5 times before I let them get back to work! I had never met them before, but we already felt like good friends. That's what Instagram is for, right? Riiiight?

I unpacked all of my styling boards, ring boxes - just all of the styling essentials, really - and flipped through the paper suite from Megan. Two words: envelope liners. 'Nough said. Amy let me sort through her blooms, herbs, and greenery and I styled my heart out until it was time to photograph the tables. Just wait until you see the tables!

Nicholle played some music from the bridal suite and let me rearrange a few chairs to photograph the bridal bouquet (you'll see it in the second set of images - table No. 2). Those wingback chairs? Please, oh please. I think my dining room is calling!

Biggest thanks to Style Me Pretty for featuring this shoot today!

Garden-Inspired Reception Idea No. 1

Soft light, romantic table setting, and wallpaper

Get ready, friend. You're about to escape to a dream world full of garden-inspired everything. I love that we decided to use the KC Grand Hall for this shoot because the architecture is what my dreams are made of. And this wallpaper wall? I need to have this installed in my office stat.

I start to think, "Hey now! Is there any way this shoot could get better?" And then I see the invitations from Little Yellow Leaf and I'm all heart-eyes for days.

Garden-Inspired Reception Idea No. 2

Vibrant blooms mixed with wooden pieces and candlelight

You know that I am obsessed with color, so when Amy was arranging this centerpiece, I was doing a little dance on the inside. We've already talked about how I don't have many dance moves (do jumping jacks count?), but color this good is enough to make me want to learn! I'm obsessed with the wooden chargers, wooden centerpiece, and the tall candles.

The light was just beginning to fade on this very-overcast day, so the candles lit up the blooms and turned the flatware to golden goodness. And these reception chairs? Mmmmm. Don't even get me started or I may not ever stop gushing!

Garden-Inspired Place Setting Ideas

a few more place setting ideas

We just couldn't help ourselves! Madison brilliantly mixed and matched different textures and patterns to bring each of these place settings to life. I love how she incorporated Amy's florals with the subtle texture of the ribbon.

Garden-Inspired Reception Idea No. 3

Neutral color palette with a view of the city

Please give me all the garden-inspired weddings. And then insert city skylines or gorgeous mountain views, please. This one? I'm just a tad obsessed with the architecture, and the way the chairs seem to compliment every part of the Grand Hall! There's still something about white blooms that just gets me!
