They snuck away just after dinner and just before the first dances for a walk down memory lane.
Photos hung along the path - photos from their earliest years together and those baby photos you pull out at Christmastime. Jeffrey turned to Elisha, pulled her close, and looked at her in that classic Jeffrey-loves-Elisha kind of way.
The last of the light hit the tops of the hills and the world faded away until it was just the two of them.

This wedding is one I will never forget. There were powerful words spoken over their lives and Jeffrey was encouraged by strong leaders to love Elisha well. When you see the two of them together and you hear their hearts, you would never wonder if their love would last - of course it will because it's based on the love that was first given to them (1 John 4:19)! But watching strong men and women encourage Elisha and Jeffrey was... powerful.
It reminds me that when you're in the presence of Jesus, you never walk away unchanged. Elisha and Jeffrey wanted their wedding to be a reflection of His love and His love was evident to all. It was evident when their parents prayed over their marriage. It was evident when people couldn't stop speaking about what God had done and His love for Elisha and Jeffrey.
And it was evident as Elisha and Jeffrey held hands and walked into the sunset.
