Lorna & Cody - Barn on Stonevalley Plantation
They stood at the back while the music played and soaked in a moment for just the two of them. They were husband and wife. Finally. She held onto his arm because that was her safe place and happy tears ran down his face.
That whole day was something beautiful. Lorna's mother and grandmother helped her into her dress and it was such an emotional thing for the three of them. They each had their hand-holding moment with her and she forced back tears that would flow later. The flower girl wore the most darling floral crown and Lorna carried a cascading bouquet all from the amazing Charity.
Cody got ready in the room across the hall. His mother helped him with his boutonnière and he watched the boys play. Because that's what wedding days are for, right?! For joyful memories and celebratory running?
From the moment that Isaac and I got there, I couldn't believe the hospitality that was shown to us. We were invited to help ourselves to whatever we needed and they felt more like friends at the end of the day than anything else. There was the sweetest sweet tea and the biggest slices of wedding cake that you will ever come across at Lorna and Cody's wedding. And I guess that's fitting since Lorna's heart will probably always be in the south.
Lorna and Cody, we loved photographing your wedding day and we are thankful to call you friends now!! Congratulations! Lorna, drink a glass of sweet tea for me today!
