Alexia and Brett Anniversary

They sat on the old, fallen log and kissed each other. They were in the middle of Forest Park and it still felt like they were all alone under the changing sky. She kissed his cheek and he kissed her hands while laughing, bumping heads, and hugging in the in-between.

The first thing I noticed about Ali and Brett at their engagement session was how madly in love they were with each other. And when we saw them walking toward us in Forest Park, I noticed the same thing again. Only this time, it was a deeper love - a knowing love - from the joy that comes with walking together and doing life together for a year.

We walked back toward the willows where we paddled two years ago. I watched them, comfortable as ever to be doing life together. 

“Falling for him wasn’t falling at all. It was walking into a house and suddenly knowing you’re home.”
