tin roofs and clapping

We were working on the second floor of the building (the top is for the church and the bottom is for the school) and it seemed like you could almost jump to the surrounding rooftops. The homes continue up the side of the mountain until they fade into a blue hue that covers the distance. So many noises. Roosters, yelling, singing, water, tin cans, and clapping. I looked up toward the mountains and could see two little girls clapping and laughing... trying to get my attention.

Love swelled in my heart and I turned to ask if I could take their picture. They were several rooftops away, but I could still hear their laughter. And even though we were separated by tin roofs and language barriers, I felt so connected to them. Because we are loved so dearly by the King.
