Slow mornings and garden walks for the three of us
This is real life. The only difference is that our landscaping looks nothing like the romantic Kansas City secret garden in the photograph above. But the sunglasses on my head, Daniel's shoeless feet, and the unplanted mums represent our life pretty well right now!
I love everything about these gardens and knew I wanted to go back with Daniel after we discovered them in July! We took Daniel with us to KC for Jaelyn and David's engagement session and it was beautiful. I was so thankful when she offered to take a few photos of the three of us! We already adore these images and I'm reminded once again how meaningful photos are. I'm reminded that I'm doing something other than just making pretty things when I photograph others! My heart goes so much deeper than what is simply picturesque. I photograph the lovely... the real, raw moments that are captured in the most authentic ways.
So here we are. All three of us in one film photo. My hair is wind-swept, my makeup is gone, Daniel is tired, and Isaac is as handsome as ever. It's the three of us on film for the very first time and now the image gets to make a grand entrance onto the internet. I cherish this photo for so many reasons.
We have a very full schedule this month (and part of next), but we are still trying to create margin and be intentional with our time. This looks like slower mornings, later nights and a lot of coffee in frapuccino form. Today I have mixed in a few photos of Daniel on our bed just because I think those baby rolls are so, so sweet! I want to share part of my life with you. This is our family and a dear part of my heart.
