Chopped strawberries, yummy butters and our favorite non-wedding Saturday tradition: pancakes! Isaac and I hosted our family and a few close friends on Saturday to celebrate our little baby and announce that #littlebabyhenson is a BOY!! We are so excited to meet our little boy in April!
Isaac and I had the second ultrasound on Wednesday and the ultrasound tech didn't think the baby was going to stop moving long enough to tell if baby was a boy or girl! He was just moving and kicking and twisting and turning. And he hasn't stopped! This little boy is crazy active ALL the time!
For our gender reveal party, I wanted to do something warm and wintry, so I made wreaths and a garland and Charity made the most beautiful flower arrangements! A dear friend made all of the mini pancakes so I could enjoy (and photograph) the party and I can't thank her enough! Toppings for mini pancakes included honey butter, strawberries, peanut butter butter, chocolate chips, cinnamon butter and homemade syrups: strawberry and blueberry. I even made up a recipe for chocolate chip scones that I must share on the blog soon!!
A friend gave me some animal figurines for my nursery and I mixed them in with the decor for a little extra dose of cuteness! We announced the gender through a series of ornaments that we let my sisters open and now they are hanging on the tree and making me giddy to hold this little boy!
Baby Henson is a BOY!!
