He passed her in the hallways and heard her giggle in the classroom. She knew his name and that was the extent of their high school relationship. She didn't even think of him again until a friend told Gert that he had changed... a lot. John Paul was a man after God's own heart and Gertrude couldn't help but be excited to see this change with her own eyes when she would return to her home church after college.
Gertrude is one of the kindest people you will ever meet so she naturally wanted John Paul to feel at home and make some good guy friends. She started inviting him to small gatherings and they exchanged a few text messages. John Paul was in Friend Zone in Gert's mind.
And then he called her to tell her about this problem that he had. He liked her. He really liked her. And he was asking her on a date. Gertrude couldn't think of a reason to say no, so after what felt like forever in John Paul's mind, she agreed to go with him on a date.
And then there was a second date and a third... and many, many more.
Gertrude decided to wear a long, fluffy pink skirt which matches her personality perfectly.
you two are too cute!
