January goals in 2017

I'm sitting in one of my favorite coffee shops sipping on an iced mocha and there's so much I want to share with you! January is coming to a close, but that doesn't mean it's too late to share how I'll be spending the next 7 days. It's never too late to re-focus and use the next week to make crazy leaps forward. Let's do this!

And can we just pretend that this is where I'm working for today? This collaboration with Madison Sanders Events and Victorian Gardens is so stinking dreamy that I can't stop staring. This shoot at the KC Ballroom just got picked up for publication and you're the first one to get a little sneak peek! I can't wait to introduce you to the whole team.

Here's where you'll find me in the next week!

1) Connecting with friends

This is an area of my life that is sometimes neglected. I get overwhelmed thinking about commiting to a time to get together. What if I commit to a time and then I remember I already have something scheduled? Mom-brain is very real, friend! What if Daniel gets sick? What if I'm a hot mess that day because I have been missing Victory?

I have to let go of these fears to move forward and connect with my friends. I know they don't care about me having it all together. But I worry that I won't be the blessing I want to be and it holds me back sometimes. No more of that! You'll find me grabbing dinner with Charity tonight, and hopefully connecting with my friend, Lisa, tomorrow!

2) Setting up Dubsado

Time to set up everything on the backend so we can make this wedding experience crazy awesome for our clients. I'll be going through our workflows and systems with a fine-tooth comb so I can better serve these clients. Saying "so long" to paper contracts and "hello" to digital everything is the best! Also: client portals! Friends, we have you covered!

3) Switch to ConvertKit

Emailing our insiders every week is one of my absolute favorite things! But we have been in a bit of a pickle while trying to migrate from MailChimp to ConvertKit. We have hundreds of people sign up each week and I want to make sure that no one falls through the cracks. We'll be setting up some automated emails to help creatives navigate through the ebooks I write and some challenges to go with that free preset!

4) Selecting the Bonus Items for the presets

Ahhh!! We launch these beauties at the end of February. I made a huge decision and decided to push back the launch because I wanted to make sure it was 100% stress-free for me, my family, and the brilliant creatives who will finally have these presets in their hands. So I need to select the bonus items for the preset suites (we'll only have 2 - black & white and color!). I know products don't normally come with bonus items, but we want the whole preset experience to be AH-mazing.

And since I just spilled the beans that I love a good glass of Cabernet, pour yourself a glass and celebrate! Don't wait for February 1st to take action. Embrace the grace and just take that first step! You know where to find me if you need a little encouragement.
