Jana walked through the halls of Humansville high school toward her classroom, where she would student teach English for the semester. She noticed Paul when she was introduced to the staff but shrugged it off, reminding herself that she was not there to find a husband. Paul was in the middle of coaching basketball for the school and although he was completely smitten with Jana, he knew now was not the right time to pursue a relationship. A couple of months later, Jana's cooperating teacher told Jana that there was something she needed to know. Jana listened as the teacher explained how Coach P had liked her since January. Completely shocked, this sparked something in Jana... what would it be like to go on a date with Paul?

And then they started talking... a lot. They were drawn to each other. His kindness, gentleness and respect. Her laugh, love, and genuineness. And after chaperoning a field trip to the Hunger Games, Paul asked Jana on their very first date.
