Introducing JB Homework Sessions

I'm introducing a new series to the blog today and I'm so excited you're here! I have a huge passion for teaching photography and it's fun to do things together! I give you #jbhomeworksessions! I have never seen this done in the blogging world before, so I'm excited to see your work!!

HOW MUCH ARE HOMEWORK SESSIONS?

They are FREE (of course!)! I want to give photographers who are reading the blog the opportunity to be part of a this community and grow together.

HOW WILL THEY GROW YOU AS AN ARTIST?

It's so important to keep learning. I challenge myself to grow as an artist with each wedding and honestly, I think that's the key to my growth. These homework sessions are designed to make you think differently and do things differently as an artist. The more instinctual your creativity becomes, the easier it's going to be to stand out in the wedding world.

These homework session will force you to get out and shoot personal work. They will force you to understand the ins and outs of photography through hands on experience. They will teach you to find your inner artist. So approach each challenge with new eyes and watch your business change for good.

WHAT ARE HOMEWORK SESSIONS?

Homework sessions are assignments from me to you. I will give you the challenge and the deadline. Then, you take that challenge and set up a personal shoot for yourself. Think about the challenge in different ways and give yourself creative freedom to break the rules within the challenge!

HOW CAN YOU SHARE YOUR WORK?

HOW WILL I BE SHARING MY WORK?

I will be sharing my work in a blog post the day that your "homework" is due and at the bottom of the post you will receive your next #jbhomeworksession assignment! My goal is to let us connect inside and outside of the blog. I want us to challenge each other and encourage each other along in this journey!

WHAT ARE THE RULES?

Keep it creative. Keep it kind. Encourage each other.

WHAT'S THE FIRST JBHOMEWORKSESSION CHALLENGE?

The Challenge: Photograph an entire session (for personal work) without ever showing the subject's face.

The Deadline: July 31, 2015

You're invited to join the conversation HERE.
