You receive your gallery of wedding images - that you love, by the way - and it's time to get to sharing those images. Let's talk about how to post your wedding photos to Instagram in a way that's simple and keeps it fun!
First things, first: let's download the photograph from your online gallery! Enter the login info sent via email and download the photo (or photos) that you want to share.
Open Instagram & decide on the crop for the image. The crop has a lot to do with how the final image looks! If you want to go with a square crop, you will want to make sure that the crop doesn't cut off someone's body in a strange way.
If you aren't sure that the square crop will work for your photograph, tap the arrow button at the bottom left of the screen. This will allow you to post the full vertical or horizontal image!
Left image: Square crop | Right image: Vertical crop (original image)
Credit the photographer in the caption! My guess is that you signed a contract that said you had to credit the photographer anytime the image is used online. I know that that section exists in my contract.
Why is this? Because the photographer owns the image. It's also really nice to credit other vendors from your wedding, but it's not necessary. The photographer is the only person you have to credit.
Below are 3 examples of how you can credit your photographer. The 3rd one is my fave! And to all you Jordan Brittley Brides, we have our own hashtag you can use in your photos, too: #jordanbrittleyweddings!
Because who doesn't love brownie points? I love seeing your favorite photos! If your photographer has a more than 2K followers on Instagram, you might consider tagging them in the photograph to make sure that they see the photo. I know that I love seeing your favorites on Instagram!
Now it's time to post those wedding favorites! See you on Instagram: @jordanbrittley.
