It's submission time! Well, it's always submission time but this is the time to start thinking about your spring and summer weddings and where you want to get them published! There are a lot of things that you can do to stand out, but there is one thing that started as a trend and is here to stay!

1) Centerpiece

Why do we want to see the groom with the centerpiece? Because anytime we can bring people (movement) into our detail images, it's a win-win. It's rare that it makes sense for a bride to hold a centerpiece, but it makes sense for the groom! Let's pretend the groom was helping to set up the reception. You would probably catch him carrying some of the heavier pieces (like a centerpiece) where the bride would be bringing in some of the more delicate details (paper pieces, etc)!

2) Boutonniere

Who doesn't love a good boutonniere? It's a favorite because it ties the florals, the colors, and the fashion details all together in one nice image. You get up close on the color and texture of the tux, the tie, and the subtle movement in the design of the boutonniere itself.

3) The ring

The diamond is always photographed - as it should be! But there's also something super sweet about the groom's ring. But here's the trick to a ring shot on the groom's hand: don't pose them for this shot. Just pose them like you normally would and then, while the pose is completely natural, focus in on the ring...
