Abigail and Trevor Proposal

A Forest Park Proposal in St Louis, MO

He walked out of the flower shop with bright red blooms in hand and hid the ring in the same Panera bag that held their bagels. That was his last stop before he was on his way to Abigail's apartment. She knew he was coming and she had even asked some questions that made him think she knew something was up. But Abigail had no idea just exactly what Trevor had planned.

He walked up to her apartment with the dress that he had picked out for her. I imagine that he handed her the flowers and she knew this was it. I waited behind a car across the street because Trevor had decided to do something different than everyone else. The two of them had decided to have me take the proposal photos and he knew the flowers and dress would give him away. So he wanted me to surprise her before he could even get down on one knee.

They walked out of the apartment, down the walkway, and straight toward me. I didn't try to hide myself but it wasn't until they were in the middle of the street that she saw me. She smiled that darling jaw-open smile when she saw me and quickly turned to him. I imagine that she was wondering if this was it but the best was yet to come.

I followed Abigail and Trevor around Forest Park until they arrived at their spot. It was hidden behind tall trees up on a hill by the World Fair Pavilion so the view was beautiful. Trevor had written pages and pages of things that he wanted to make sure that Abigail knew. She giggled at him, rested her head on his shoulder, and kissed his cheek. This was it.

Under those tall trees in the heart of St Louis, Trevor asked Abigail to be his wife. She said yes and he held her and the rest is a blur because all I remember is just how excited I felt for them. It was amazing to watch these two get engaged. They were able to express what you know their hearts felt: forever you and no other.
