DIY Gift Idea: Promises in a Jar

Isaac and I went home over the weekend to celebrate my sister's birthday. It was so refreshing... southern hospitality, talking about life and a little bit of the great outdoors. You can see just how beautiful southern missouri is by clicking HERE. And while you are checking out my vine video, don't miss my favorite video HERE. For part of Jae's birthday gift, I wanted to add something special. Because I love her. And because I like to give meaningful gifts! So I created a heart template in photoshop and decided to include a BUNCH of verses of promises. It seems appropriate as she starts this new season of her life (college). I love that girl.

With Valentine's Day just around the corner (tomorrow!!), I thought this might be appropriate to share. Mostly because of the cute hearts. And what if the hearts led to clues? Or notes? Be still my heart. The possibilities are endless.

SUPPLIES

  • linen paper (and a printer, of course)
  • mason jars
  • scissors
  • piece of lace
  • fun beads (optional)
  • hot glue gun
  • THIS download
Just type the verses (or whatever you want) over the hearts and print out the sheets. Cut and throw the pieces in the mason jar and hot glue the lace on the jar. Add beads if you want!
