An Inside Look at How the Blog is Taking it Up a Notch
A lot has changed in the last three years of this business. You may have watched me struggle to find the logo for Jordan Brittley or you may have seen little tweeks here and there as I developed my website. After three years I am excited about the look of this brand! I am sure that there will be minor changes here and there throughout the years. But I can’t imagine the overall look changing much from here. It’s time to give this brand time to become timeless!
There are a few tools that we will be adding to the blog this year and I wanted to give you an inside look before we do it! Whether you are looking for ways to make your blog more user friendly or you are a loyal reader who is just excited to see where we are going, this post is an exciting one!
I want to be a source for great content! I know that a lot of business owners are busy and don’t have time to read lengthy posts each day. I want to make it as easy as possible for you to dive into the content so I am diving into podcasts. This might be the project I am most excited about! Here we go!!
The idea is that you will be able to access the podcasts on the blog through a handy little podcast page and on iTunes. I can’t wait to start producing these shows!
I love learning and one of my favorite ways to learn is by reading! So I will be adding a page with the books that I recommend for growing entrepreneurs. And we are all growing so you will love this page!
I am excited about our free resources! I love giving away content on the blog, in our exclusive facebook group, and in the Newsletter. We are also looking to implement free resources such as my BlogSheets, webinars, and more.
It’s time to make a beautiful mobile site that is user friendly, easy to read, and fun to explore. A lot of you are reading on your phones each day and I know that there are a few changes that need to happen to make that easier on you.
I really love how A Beautiful Mess has designed their archives. My goal is to figure out how you all are searching for information on the blog so I can create an archives page for you. This will make it easier for you to view old posts in an organized way time and time again.
You may have noticed that the blog graphics have been branded! I took some advice from Lauren Hook and decided to give the graphics a cohesive look. The goals is that they will become recognizable on Pinterest and other social media outlets.
I have heard from a lot of you that you love to read on the blog for hours and hours! I love it! Thank you, thank you for reading and for taking the time to let me know that you love what I’m sharing.
Because I want to make it easier for you to explore the blog, I am on the lookout for a related posts plugin! I just haven’t found one that I love yet. I am looking for a plugin that will let me be very specific about how “related” the post must be to show up at the bottom of each post. I need to be able to fully customize it to fit the look of the brand. I also need full control over where it is placed in each post!
I am so excited about the changes coming to the blog. It’s my goal to build a place for you to enjoy free content. If you are looking to get connected with other like-minded entrepreneurs, check out our group on facebook!
