A weekend with Daniel
Our sweet boy turns ONE next Friday and I can hardly take it. He took his first steps on Tuesday and it's just a matter of time before he is wobbling through the house on his own two feet. Isaac is applying for Visas for his trip to Africa this summer. Does it feel like I just dropped a bomb? Ha! It's true, he is going to Africa!
He is taking a small group of men from our church to visit South Sudan and connect with our missionary contact. We hosted the team in our home a month ago and it was such a blessing to me! The wives of the men came, I made my mom's enchiladas, and we just talked! It fills my heart to think about going with him one day!!
I love that even though Isaac has his hands full - missions pastor at our church, high school teacher, and student - he takes time to read to Daniel, go on walks, and just be with our family. He is graduating with a masters in education in one month and then continuing as a seminary student! I am so impressed by his dedication to what God has called him to do - both at home and away!!
One of my goals for the year was to fill my mind with truth and get in the Word! I started leaving my Bible open on the kitchen table and it makes it easy to read a verse here and there throughout my day. One of my goals for April is to read 1 verse each day. It's kind of like setting a goal to only floss one tooth... you're going to do more than that!
I have loved reading Psalm 42 over and over again...
My friends always tell me that my home looks different every time they see it! And it's TRUE! I apparently love to change things up and decorate. These little bunches of (very fake) plants are now in an Ikea display.
Daniel is all about crawling and chewing on everything. And STRAWBERRY BLONDE HAIR!!
My grandma came to visit for a day and I had to take a couple photos...
Jenna adores Daniel! I can't wait to have her back in the office editing away. It makes Daniel's day to see her!!
