A lesson I'm learning from our Daniel
Daniel is sitting on my lap while I type. He puts his hands on the desk to feel the texture and then he rests both of his hands on mine and giggles. In my ideal week, Monday is my day off. Since I spend my Saturdays working, it's important for me to get a day to rest. I learn so much from watching Daniel. It's amazing to watch him not be concerned about tomorrow or even afternoon plans. He is just fully present in the current moment and giggling away. I love that the lessons I learn by being his mom are endless.
Wherever you are and whatever you're doing today, don't wish away the time or spend it worrying about the next thing. Today I'm opening the windows, baking cookies, going on a walk, listening to a podcast, reading a book, and being present in every moment.
